PRAYERS FOR LIFE "If we are to have peace on earth...we must be concerned about...the sacredness of all human life...When we truly believe this, we won't kill anybody." Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. In October, let us remember the many whose words live on to inspire us to defend all life.

Though the cameras have left, people continue to suffer as a result of the natural disasters that struck our world in late summer. Please remember these victims, especially the poor and the elderly, in your prayers. Consider donating to reputable charities as they continue to assist the most vulnerable among us in regaining a sense of normalcy. Gentle Mother, pray tor us and teach us love.

The Sacred Hearts/Ladies of Faith We will be doing works of mercy, learning more about our faith, and having special events. We will be having our meetings in the evenings, however, we will offer participation opportunities at additional times.

Interested? Contact : Terry Money, Myrna Hendrix, or Diane Senzarino by leaving a message with the office.

Our next meeting will be: Thursday, Nov 9th at 6:30.

Women' s Lectio Divina

In Scripture, we seek Jesus, Who is the way, the truth and the life. We discover that every word of the Bible bears Witness to the Living Christ. And through Lectio Divina, we enter into a heartfelt conversation with Him. Come experience this ancient approach to encountering Jesus.

When: Thursday Evenings at 7:00 pm - Sacred Heart

The Life in the Spirit Seminar is an invitation to make or renew a deep personal commitment to Jesus Christ in openness to the Holy Spirit and His gifts. It serves as an introduction to a life in the power of the Holy Spirit. It provides teaching, guidance, and prayer leading to a new anc deeper relationship with the Lord. Come and experience the presence of the Lord, through praise and worship with community! Pope John Paul Il described it as "a grace directed to sanctify the Church, to renew in her the taste for prayer, and to rediscover with the Holy Spirit the sense of thankfulness, of joyful praise, of confident intercession and to be converted into a new fountain of evangelization."

The Sacred Heart Prayer Group will be leading a Life in the Spirit Seminar beginning Wednesday evening, November 1st, at 6:30 to 8:00 pm and will last six weeks.

If you should have any additional questions or would like to register, please contact Deacon Ken at or call the office (315-699-2752).
